The Bank's Library
Introduction:
The Library is the research and reference service of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ). It provides information in different formats to its users on a multitude of topics corresponding to the needs and concerns of the Bank as a whole.
Available Resources:
Resources available at the Library are:
Books: there are over 9000 books in Arabic and 8500 in English.
References: these include encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, atlases and other specialized reference works in Arabic and other languages.
Periodicals and journals: In Arabic and other languages.
Databases: the Library offers access to many electronic databases with multiple topics. Such a service is only limited to CBJ staff.
Newspapers: local and international Arabic and English languages newspapers.
These resources are for internal use at the Bank only. They cover a wide range of topics including Economy, Banking, Accounting, Management, trade and statistics, …etc.
Private Collection:
These include Jordan reports and directories, as well as reports and bulletins issued by international commissions and institutions such as: International Monetary Fund (IMF) collection; World Bank collection; as well as regional and foreign central banks publications.

4 Selective dissemination of information is provided in the form of a quarterly list of English and Arabic books newly owned by the library. This list is for in- house circulation only.
Membership:
Access to CBJL is limited as it is used by members of staff. However, selected external users, in particular, economists, accountants, consultants and university students, are permitted to use it.
Opening Hours:
- Members of CBJ staff: 8 am - 4 pm Sunday to Thursday
- Members of public: 9 am - 3 pm Sunday to Thursday /li
- The CBJ, including the Library, is closed on Fridays and Saturdays
