Deputy governor of the Central Bank / H.E. Dr. Khaldoun Abdullah Al-Wshah

By a Royal Decree, H.E Dr. Khaldoun Al-Wshah was appointed as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan as of February 9, 2022.

Dr. Khaldoun Al-Wshah - who was born in 1970 - held several positions during his tenure at the Bank where he started serving at the Investments and Foreign Operations Department in 1994, then in 2003 he moved to serve as an Economic Researcher at the Open Market Operations and Public Debt Department. Also, from 2009 to 2012 he served as the head of the external loans and grants Division at the Investments and Foreign Operations Department, then as an Assistant Executive Manager of the Department from 2012 to 2013, to be promoted in 2013 to become the Executive Manager of the Open Market Operations and Public Debt Department and to continue in this position until he was appointed as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan in 2022.

Also, he served as a Part-time lecturer in several Official and Privet Universities and a member in several external and internal committees that are related to the Central Bank’s work.

Dr. Al-Wshah holds a Ph.D. in Finance, and a Master’s Degree in Scientific research in economics and business administration from the University of Hull in United Kingdom, and another Master’s degree in Business administration and finance from the University of Jordan, and a Bachelor’s degree in economy from Al Mustansiriyah University in Iraq.
