Jordan Real Estate Price Index

The real estate prices index in the Kingdom was prepared through cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Department of Land and Survey, depending on available data from the Department of Land and Survey for various types of real estates. The weighted average price, related to the completed real estate procedures made during a particular period of time, was calculated. The year 2012 was chosen as a base year to calculate the index by assigning a weight for each dock depending on the trading size for each dock in the base year. The Laspeyres Index was adopted to calculate the index which is the aggregate index weighted by the base year. The index is calculated and published quarterly for various types of real estates and for all the Kingdom's governorates.
